Make a Google Review QR Code for Your Memphis Shop in 5 Minutes
Quick take: copy your review link, turn it into a QR code for free, test it, and put it where customers wait.
Happy customers often mean to leave a review and then forget. A QR code at the counter makes it a 10-second job: point the phone, tap, write. Here’s how to make one for free.
Step 1: Get your review link
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your business.
- Search your business name on Google, or open your Business Profile.
- Look for the option to ask for reviews or share review form, and copy the link.
Google moves these buttons around sometimes. If you don’t see it, Google’s own help page has the current steps (linked below).
Step 2: Turn the link into a QR code
You can do this for free:
- Canva: search "QR code" in the Apps panel, paste your link, and drop the code onto a counter sign template.
- Google Chrome: on many versions, the share menu for a page includes a "QR code" option.
Test it with your own phone before you print. Then test it again.
Step 3: Put it where people wait
- By the register or the front desk
- On the mirror at your station
- On receipts or invoices
- On the back of your business card
Keep the sign simple:
EXAMPLE sign: "Enjoyed your visit? We’d love an honest Google review. Scan here."
Step 4: Ask everyone the same way
Google’s rules say to ask every customer, not just the happy ones, and never offer a reward for reviews. The sign helps because it asks everyone the same way.
A quick checklist
- ☐ Link copied from your own Business Profile
- ☐ QR code tested on two phones
- ☐ Sign says "honest review," with no reward offered
- ☐ Placed where customers wait, not where they feel watched

The Founder Pilot sets up missed-call text-back plus online booking for your business. It’s $297 plus about $23 in carrier fees for texting registration. There’s no monthly fee for the first 14 days once it’s running (carrier approval usually takes 10–15 days before that). After that, you keep it for $597 setup + $249/mo, or you stop. My promise: "If it isn’t working by day 14 after go-live, I’ll fix it or refund your $297."
